We don't think church should be boring... irrelevant ... or uptight! 

Why use organ music from the late 1800s? We want to experience spirituality in our day and age. The message is still the same... "Jesus is the answer for the world today." We have just updated the "way" we do church. Church IS and should be relevant to today's culture! ? 

We are on a Mission:

Jesus said in Luke 19:10 that he came to "seek and save the lost." In our work, school and neighborhood setting we want to intentionally invite people to walk together with us on a spiritual journey. Journey Church welcomes anyone regardless of his or her spiritual background, life circumstance, or apparel.

Our Purpose:

(Why we do what we do)  Every time we come together we want to experience Christ in our midst. When this happens, people become open to having a relationship with Jesus Christ, their needs are met, and they begin to help and minister to others.

Our Core Values:

Our Motto: 

(What every Journey member knows) A church with a HEART for ALL people... It's our desire to bring life to our community by having a big heart to help people and to build a place where everyone feels welcome no matter their race or social status.

Real... In faith and life being real means being honest, vulnerable, and authentic…who we really are. No one is perfect, so we're not going to pretend that we are. We encourage people to be authentic with God and one another.

 

Relevant... If it's not relevant, who cares? We want to demonstrate in teaching and action that our faith is relevant in the Sallisaw area. Being a Christ follower will impact every aspect of life…it's not just a Sunday thing! We will communicate how Christianity effectively intersects with everyday life and culture.

 

Relational... All of us desire friendship. We want people to be connected to one another within the church regardless of differences. We will seek to provide unconditional acceptance for anyone who seeks to become part of our community.
